This month’s HearSay episode looks at a new state office that’s been years in the making. Colorado’s Office of Public Guardianship took nearly three years to start operating, and it’s up against a lot of pressure for the legislature to keep funding it after 2023. The Office of Public Guardianship has been a strange marriage of a service that everyone involved agrees is needed, but whose implementation got stuck in a tangle of bureaucratic weeds.
