As a result of Circuit Media’s efforts to promote and standardize the use of clear, concise communications, our CEO Rebecca was selected to sit on the Board of Directors for the Center for Plain Language. The Center for Plain Language is a non-profit organization that helps government agencies and businesses write clear and understandable documents. The Center supports those who use plain language, trains those who should use plain language, and urges people to demand plain language in all the documents they receive, read, and use. Our communications team participated in a training session with the Center’s founder in April of this year, where we learned many useful skills that can be employed in almost every aspect of our work. Rebecca and the Center are planning an event in Denver this fall, so keep an eye out in the coming months for further details.
