Lauren Treacy joined Circuit Media this month as a full-time human resources intern. Lauren graduated from Colorado State University in December 2019 with a major in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She became interested in the psychology of businesses after taking a personality psychology class in her first year at college and falling in love with the scientific discipline. Lauren changed her major from Criminal Psychology after discovering this hidden passion for studying organizational health. Her professional passions lie in studying and facilitating both organizational development and personal employee growth for companies. Lauren’s primary determinations for these areas include a study on how the company is a good fit for a person and vice versa.

Lauren says she is most excited to assist the CM team with administering Best Works tests – a personality test similar to Myers Briggs. “It’s cool – it tells you a lot about your personal work style and it’s probably the most accurate one I’ve seen so far.” She said a lot of her major involved the development of those types of tests – and studying the overall science of HR.

Lauren’s 10-week internship started on June 1 and she is excited to spend the summer growing with CM. In her new role, she will assist our HR team with professional development tasks and may assist with some event planning, leveraging some experience she gained at her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. At Gamma Phi, Lauren helped organize the annual Moonball event, a philanthropic volleyball tournament incorporating a foot race in support of Girls on the Run, a nonprofit that focuses on empowering young girls.

Lauren’s younger sister recently started at CU Boulder – starting a small family rivalry as the first in their nuclear family to not attend CSU. She says her family now has a fun time finding creative ways to support both colleges during the Rocky Mountain Showdown, often sporting shirts with both school’s emblems. Typically an avid concert-goer, Lauren has lately been finding enjoyment hiking and watching new TV shows on Netflix.

Welcome to the CM Family, Lauren! We’re so happy you’re here!
