Chace Ortiz joined the CM Team as a business development analyst on Feb. 1. At CM, Chace will help the rest of the BD Team with various contracting efforts and will assist with CM’s OASIS Pool 1 contract, which the company won in 2020. CM is a Pool 1 Small Business contractor for the government-wide General Services Administration OASIS contract.
Previously serving as a lead recruiter for a government contracting agency in Colorado Springs, Chace brings experience with full life cycle onboarding and training. “When I went into that place, they didn’t have a system in place for recruiting – the HR person did it on the side – so I implemented a new full lifecycle recruiting system,” he said. Before that position, Chace worked primarily in the service industry, and he said the experience revealed a passion for working with and around people.
He said what most excited him about his new position at CM was the opportunity to work in a team environment on contracts from start to finish. Chace has an associate’s degree in business administration and management from Front Range Community College and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in economics from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Chace also has an active secret clearance from the Department of Defense and has experience in proposal writing and government contract bidding.
Chace is the oldest of all six of his siblings. Hailing from Colorado Springs, the family traded in the chevy blazer for a ford expedition around a decade ago to accommodate his three new siblings and father. When he’s not spending time with his family, Chace likes to hang out with his friends in and around Denver, visiting local breweries and eateries in the city.
