House panel focused on issues facing women entrepreneurs

Circuit Media’s CEO, Rebecca Askew, joined advocacy group Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and other business leaders last week to discuss issues facing women in business. The roundtable, held in conjunction with Women’s History Month, was convened by House Small Business Caucus co-chairs Rep. Scott Tipton (R-Colo.) and Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine). Issues discussed included parity in federal contracting, workforce development, and access to capital.

Other roundtable participants included Lisa Renshaw of Penn Parking, National Women Business Council (NWBC) Chair Liz Sara, and WIPP President Candace Waterman. Ms. Askew joined the WIPP Leadership Advisory Council in April 2018 as part of Circuit Media’s focus to support women entrepreneurship.

As a proud woman-owned business, Circuit Media is a committed advocate for promoting women in business. We look forward to witnessing the positive impacts of this event and continuing to promote best practices in the future.
